From now on, please remember that there is a big difference between aging and degeneration. Aging is inevitable, but biology is a slow process. Many of the aging we call, and most of the aging we fear the most, are actually degradation.
This is very important because we cannot remove the real aging, but degeneration is optional. This means that most functional aging is also optional.
Aging is an invariable biological rule, you cannot change it: your hair turns white and gravity will bring an impact. You can watch movies at the best ticket price at the beginning. No matter how active you live, your maximum heart rate will drop smoothly over time, which will have a significant impact on you. Regardless of your lifestyle, your skin will become worse. So, no matter what, you look old. However, your behavior and feelings do not need to be old, this is the most important thing. We haven't found a way to last, but aging can be a slow, minimized and very elegant process. Even in appearance, there is a big difference between a good-looking and healthy elderly person and an elderly person who lets everything go.
Nature uses your body and your innate degeneration to balance growth and degeneration. These signals are not strong, but they are persistent, they never stop and are growing every year. Chris calls this a ruthless wave, which is a good metaphor.
No matter how you call it, at our forties and fifties, our bodies have turned into a "deficient degradation" pattern, and the journey of enjoying the free wave of youth is over. In the absence of growth signals, your body and brain will degenerate and you will "aging". Now, we may not be satisfied with this arrangement, but we cannot change it either. What we can do is to cover those pre-designed signals, swim against the waves, and reverse the degeneration and return to growth, and it can be done very easily.
How to avoid degradation; Daily exercise, emotional investment, and reasonable nutrition are all solutions
How should we avoid degradation? Change the number we send to our body. The key to covering the degradation process is daily movement, emotional investment, reasonable nutrition, and true devotion to life. But it all starts with movement.
You must move often, because movement means who you are. More importantly, this also represents who you were in the past, representing your origin several years ago. Your body is a gift from thousands of ancestors, and the fact that you exist means that they all survive. Each of them did something right, and each of them would pass on a little more power, speed and wisdom to the next generation.
Our mind and body are precisely designed tools for harmony with the natural environment. We are indeed designed to grow in a smooth situation, to stay vigilant, hunt, explore, work together, build, laugh, play, run, rehabilitate, love, and survive. To do this, our bodies and minds need to be strong, lively and fully synchronized.
However, at the other end of biological equations, degeneration must occur when necessary, because each part of the body structure requires energy to maintain. Every muscle fiber, every small bone and soft bone, every brain network connection, every skin cell, and even every thought consumes the necessary energy and fuel. And every energy consumption must help survival and regeneration, otherwise it will reduce the success of transportation. Therefore, in times of poor environmental conditions, high pressure, drought, hunger or winter, we are designed to stop, hibernate and rest, and accelerate the occurrence of cessation of development and degeneration. From a species perspective, once years of fertility and nourishment have been completed, this may be a good way to age. In this mode, food consumption can be reduced, and of course, death will occur faster, leaving the next generation with space under the pressure of survival. This is Darwin's aging program, and nature also builds your body based on this aging program. This is also the reason why degeneration becomes more lasting every year, because of this cycle of life. Now, you are about to enter these stages of your life. Can you accept this statement?
Maybe not. From a personal perspective, from your perspective, there are all problems. This is a terrible way of life, and it is completely unreasonable. We live in houses with temperature control, not in ice age, and most people eat too much, not too little. There is no cold winter and famine that will let us stop completely, and you may think that our bodies will begin to be suitable and remote from the semi-hibernation prevention mechanism. But it has only been about a hundred years since humans escaped these pressure sources. This is an amazing event in the development of humans, but from the perspective of evolution, this is nothing. Our body structure simply cannot fit the modern retirement world, nor will they fit in the future. Yes, for millions of years, the human body system has not changed, and our body system has been designed to operate in uncertain environments, when food is never eaten and is always full of danger.
Changes in evolution may occur, but they won't happen within millions of years, so you may need to make other arrangements. You may want to start now, find a way to deal with your aging and Darwin rule-based body, and then see what you can do in your life to force your body to suit. Remember, if you don't intervene, your body will continue to misinterpret the signals of the modern world, which will enable the "degraded degradation" design. You will begin to degenerate and eventually die. To understand why, we need to consider both good and bad situations in nature, as well as how our ancestors use mechanisms and signals that we still have in place to suit them.
