Sheffield Wednesday Open Letter
To all fans of our club
We the players would like to say directly to you, our supporters, how grateful we are for the huge amount of effort you put into protecting this great club that we all love so dearly.
While we fully understand where you stand as a collective and the steps you are taking to force change, your absence from the stadium is felt by all of us.
After a period of division and a sense of "disconnect" between the club, players and fans, we now hope that this is the moment when we can all reunite under the crest and enjoy our football again!
So we are asking you, starting tomorrow against Oxford United, please come back to Hillsborough Stadium to cheer for the team. Let's make this stadium a place of fear for away teams because we will do everything we can to get those points we so desperately need.
Think back to the comeback against Peterborough, the wins over Arsenal and Newcastle. That is both your contribution in the stands and our efforts on the court!
We will not give up, and we ask you not to give up on us. Unity is strength. Together we can fight.
