Former Tottenham Chairman Lord Alan Suga threatened to file a lawsuit against Sky Sports and Jamie Redknapp for claiming Suga left a mess when selling Tottenham club in 2001.
In Tottenham's 3-0 victory over West Ham, Lei and former Chelsea striker Zora served as commentator. This game was Levi's first game since resigning as club chairman.
Since ENIC, which maintained a significant stake in 2001, acquired a majority stake in Tottenham from Soka, Levi has been in charge of the club for 25 years. Suka was in charge of Tottenham for ten years, and the team won the FA Cup in 1991 and the League Cup in 1999.
Under the management of ENIC and Levi, the club has received only two honors, namely the 2008 League Cup and the UEFA Cup this May, but has made great progress on the off-court club. They have built a new stadium on the original site to replace the White Hart Lane Stadium and built a brand new training base.
When discussing Levi's departure, Little Lei claimed that Suka, who was still a shareholder until 2007, left a mess, while praising the club's recent off-court development.
Xiao Lei said at the time: "I have criticized Levi and did not recognize some of his operating methods, but he has made outstanding contributions in terms of training bases, facilities construction, infrastructure and the construction of the world's top football stadium."
"Recalling the Alan Sukha period, the club he left behind was a completely mess. Levi left a solid foundation, and CEO Vincart Sam and the current management are aware of this. They will surely lead the club forward."
This statement was immediately counterattacked by Sukha, and he made it clear on Twitter that he was considering legal action. He posted: "Jamie Redknapp is a double idiot, full of nonsense! He said that when Levi took over Tottenham, Alan Suga left a mess, and he and Sky Sports both received my lawyer's letter on Monday. "
The post mislabeled the account of Levi's father, Harry Redknapp, and Suga corrected the content in a subsequent tweet and wrote: "I'm eyeing you, @Jamie Redknapp, idiot."
Since selling Tottenham shares, Suga has become famous nationwide for hosting the "Apprentice" program. Sky Sports declined to comment on the matter at present.
