The Premier League officially announced that Chelsea legend Hazard was officially inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame. Previously, the Premier League officially announced a list of 15 candidates. After a final vote by fans, Hazard and Neville became this year's new inductees into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
Official announcement: Hazard was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame
Former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard was officially inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, becoming the 26th player to receive the Premier League's highest individual honor.
The attacker, who won two Premier League championships with Chelsea, was elected the Premier League Player of the Season in the 2014/15 season, and was awarded the club's Player of the Season four times during his seven years at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League Hall of Fame aims to recognize individuals who have achieved outstanding achievements and made significant contributions since the establishment of the Premier League in 1992. Players and coaches must be eligible for selection after completing their professional football careers.
After being elected by the current 24 Hall of Fame members (including legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Wenger, Paul Scholes, Dennis Bergkamp, Vincent Kompany and Didier Drogba), Hazard and Gary Neville have become this year's new inductees.
The Hall of Fame members referred to the results of global fan voting in their evaluations - fans previously conducted public voting from a shortlist of 15 candidates.
