According to multiple media reports, Neymar, whose contract expired in June, recently held in-depth negotiations with Santos on renewal. The two sides are likely to renew the contract until 2026. Brazilian media UOL has disclosed the content of several player contracts.

After reuniting with Riyadh Crescent in January this year, Neymar and Santos signed a five-month short contract, including salary and portrait rights income, and players can receive 21 million Brazilian reals (about 3.2 million euros) per month, with the total contract amount equivalent to 25% of the club's budget this season. Despite the high cost, Santos is confident in the operation as they can also increase revenue by increasing sponsorship and marketing campaigns.

According to the documents obtained by UOL, the contract stipulates that Neymar's monthly salary is 4.14 million reais (about 650,000 euros). In terms of marketing and portrait rights, Santos must pay Neymar and his father's company at least 85 million reais (about 13.39 million euros) to Neymar and his father's company. Regardless of income, the amount must be settled before July 30 this year. If the target is not met, Santos will need to pay out of his own pocket to make up the difference. In terms of marketing revenue distribution, Neymar and his father's company NR Sports received 75% of the new sponsorship amount, while Santos received the remaining 25%. For previous sponsorships, if the sponsorship amount is increased after Neymar joins, 75% of the increase will belong to NR Sports. Taking the main sponsor as an example, Santos replaced the original Blaze (real 22.5 million per year) with Bet7k (real 51 million per year). Since this agreement was reached after Neymar joined, 21 million of the added 28.5 million will be attributable to NR Sports.

Since Neymar joined, Santos has increased its sponsorship revenue by 66 million reals, and about 49.5 million reals will be owned by Neymar's father's company NR Sports, which is almost half the contract target. In addition, there are some projects under negotiation, and these content production involving Neymar is expected to generate more than 10 million real reais. On the other hand, some suppliers have begun to serve the club by bartering in exchange for exposure to brands related to Neymar during training.

In addition to marketing and sponsorship, UOL also learned that Santos hopes to maintain the growth momentum of the "Sócio Rei" membership program triggered by Neymar's arrival. So far, the project has earned an additional revenue of approximately 2 million reais per month. The club's jersey sales target set by the club this year has been achieved ahead of schedule due to the return of Neymar. The "New Neymar Project" also includes beverage suppliers, fitness equipment and physiotherapy equipment suppliers, and training center renovations.

This income distribution method will continue for one year after Neymar's current contract ends. Santos will use Neymar's image in any case requires permission from NR Sports. In addition to the amount involved, players have many special treatments.

It was revealed that Santos provided several luxury services for Neymar and his entourage, including three private rooms on the stadium, which can accommodate a total of 36 people, and 20 away game tickets. In addition, the club also bears the private flight costs of Neymar and his designated escorts and arranges them to stay in a five-star hotel. At the same time, all members of Neymar's team will also enjoy business class air tickets. The termination fee clause stipulates that if the contract is terminated early, all due salary Neymar must be paid until the expiration of the contract.

When asked by media, Santos management said that it would not comment on the contents of the contract because it involved confidentiality clauses. Neymar's representative said in a statement: "Due to the confidentiality agreement in the contract, Neymar and his father will not criticize this, nor will they evaluate the authenticity of the facts and documents. Out of respect for the principle of confidentiality of news sources, we will directly investigate the leak of confidential information with the Santos Club."
