Cleaning method of silk quilts

Light hail and keep warm are loved by many consumers, but most people do not know the correct use, reasonable maintenance and scientific cleaning methods of silk quilts. So how to wash silk quilts?

The conventional cleaning of silk quilts can only wash the outer quilt cover. The core of the silk quilt itself cannot be washed. If it is stained, it is necessary to wash it locally with special detergent and slowly iron it with an iron low temperature pad. However, be careful not to make the baked part come into contact with the heat source for a long time to prevent the fabric from shrinking.

If necessary, the core can be removed and washed after carefully cutting off the wire staple on the surface of the wire. However, this operation cannot be carried out sloppyly, and should be completed by skilled personnel or by factory personnel to avoid damage.

Precautions for cleaning silk quilts:

1. The silk quilt has 3 layers, silk, inner sleeve, quilt cover. Silk + inner sleeve is the so-called quilt core and cannot be washed in water (except for the silk quilt that can be washed in water). The quilt cover can be removed and washed. Therefore, it is generally not dirty if it is protected by a quilt.

2. Silk is not prone to static electricity, so it will not absorb dust and dirt like chemical fiber quilts and wool quilts. It's very clean even after being used for several years. So don't worry.

3. If the core inside is accidentally stained with stains, you can wipe it locally in a cool place to dry it. If you can't handle it yourself, you can go to the dry cleaning shop for partial treatment.

Maintenance method for silk quilts

1. Do not store them in a humid and stuffy environment or put them in a plastic bag to prevent the silk from getting damp, resulting in a odor, losing its warmth and breathability. Avoid heavy pressure and do not stack heavy objects on the quilt to avoid thinning and hardening. Do not use chemical drugs such as mothballs to avoid contaminating silk. After using it for a period of time, the silk inner tube will turn slightly yellow and the fluffy will decrease. This is a normal phenomenon and will not affect the quality of the silk and normal use.

2. The outside of the silk quilt core should be covered with a quilt cover before use, otherwise the core will be easily contaminated with dust and stains. Do not press on the quilt when sleeping to keep the silk quilt fluffy. Children should prevent them from wetting the bed when using silk quilts, and prevent your child from jumping around on the quilt.

3. If the quilt is dirty, you can remove it and wash it with cold water. The core of the silk quilt cannot be washed, dry cleaned, or ironed. If stains are contaminated, you can use neutral detergent to wipe locally and dry. If the stain area is large, it is recommended to go to a dry cleaner to wipe it with special medicine.

4. The newly made silk quilt has the smell of silkworm pupae. Just place it in a ventilated place and blow it for two days. The silk quilt should not be exposed to the sun for a long time, but it is best to take it out for two hours every two weeks, otherwise the quilt will become moldy after being damp. After the sun is finished, pat it gently with your hands to maintain fluffy.

How to wash silk?

Silk products are soft and thin, and are deeply loved by all women. So how should we wash silk products?

Washing: The silk is best dried. If you wash it yourself, you should choose neutral detergent, soak it in low-temperature water for 15 to 20 minutes, then rub it gently, and rinse it with clean water. It is not suitable to use a washing machine, nor to use alkaline soap, it is not suitable to wash at high temperature, and it is not suitable to rub it hard. After washing, gently squeeze out the moisture, hang it on a clothes rack, and let it drip into dry to avoid fading from sun exposure.

Collection: Do not store silk products in damp or direct sunlight to avoid mildew spots and fading. When collecting, avoid directly contaminating desiccants, cosmetics, perfumes, etc. on silk. If you accidentally get infected, clean it in time, otherwise it will easily turn yellow or black. When storing, it can be folded flat and placed in a drawer, or hung on a smooth clothes hanger, but camphor or sanitary balls should not be placed. In addition, silk products are prone to hardness after a long time, so they can be restored to softness by soaking them in silk softener or white vinegar diluent.

In addition, it is best to put silk products in the sun before collecting them, and then put them in the box, and be careful not to press them heavily. Silk products of different colors are separated by paper to prevent discoloration. When collecting white silk products, wrap them in blue paper without changing color. If wrapped in white paper, the white silk will turn yellow. Camphor sperm should not be placed on white silk products, otherwise it will turn yellow. In addition, silk is a natural fiber, which requires "ventilated" and therefore should not be hung in plastic bags for a long time when collecting.
