Manchester United officially announced that 19-year-old youth training forward Ethan Whitley joined Northampton on loan for one season.
The club's 250th youth training graduate completed his first team debut in April 2024 and is a direct player trained by the Carrington youth training system. In the 2023-24 season, Whitley helped the U18 youth team win three championships as a key member, and then scored 10 goals in the Youth Champions League and Premier League second division, continuing to show his growth trajectory. His outstanding performance allowed him to get his first loan opportunity last season and play for Walsol.
Northampton ranked 19th in the League One last season, and Manchester United wishes Whitley's loan exercises all the best.
