According to Bloomberg, NVIDIA plans to resume selling H20 AI accelerators to China because the government has guaranteed to approve relevant shipments, which has a dramatic reversal with the previous Trump administration's standpoint.

NVIDIA said in a blog post Monday that U.S. government officials have informed the export permissions to be issued for H20.

After NVIDIA issued this announcement, Nasdaq Futures reported a surge, and Hong Kong stocks and Chinese stocks also responded positively. Taiwan Stock Exchange also staged a stimulus market, opening at 1,095 yuan today (15th), up 1.37%, reporting 1,110 yuan.

Vey-Sern Ling, president and general manager of Union Bancaire Privée, said that NVIDIA's resumption of sales of H20 in China is obviously positive news. It is not only beneficial to NVIDIA itself, but also has a positive impact on the entire AI semiconductor supply chain and the Chinese technology platform dedicated to developing AI capabilities.

NVIDIA executive chief Huang Renjie went to Beijing this week to attend a large supply chain exhibition. He has told NVIDIA Chinese customers that new export permits are expected to be nuclear-produced and will resume shipping of H20 chips as quickly as possible. At the same time, NVIDIA also plans to launch a new chip "RTX PRO" for the Chinese market. NVIDIA emphasizes that this chip is fully in line with the door approved by the US.

In fact, H20 was originally in line with earlier trade restrictions, but the United States still banned sales in China in April. Huang Rensheng admitted that this will cause NVIDIA to lose billions of dollars due to pressure stocks.

At the same time, Huang Renshi also criticized Trump's restrictions as "failed policies", which would instead lead to China's rise. The United States does not need to worry about the use of NVIDIA chips by the Chinese military, because Beijing cannot rely on a technology that the United States may limit at any time.

As to this matter, the US Department of Commerce spokesperson did not respond to this.
