With an eight-year cooperation, Taida Energy provides about 1 million green power supply every year, from the first small hydraulic power plant in Taiwan, developed by the local government, and generated about 8 million green power during the cooperation period.
Xinjian Technology Renewable Energy has originally purchased renewable energy mainly based on solar energy, and has continuously completed the construction of self-use solar energy power generation equipment. In recent years, it has continued to expand its renewable energy layout. In 2024, the combined use of renewable energy and green corrosion certificates account for 10.4% of the total electricity used.
In order to improve the transmission rate of renewable energy, Xinjian Technology has achieved a global goal of 100% renewable energy (RE100) in 2050, and has reached a cooperation agreement with Taida Energy to achieve small hydraulic power generation. The purpose is to improve the overall power supply to a relatively stable state through the individual power generation characteristics of different renewable energy sources on the original solar energy basis, and can also have clean energy during the period when the optical power supply is insufficient.
The small hydraulic power generation cooperation between the two parties comes from the Shishui River in Taichung City, which belongs to the middle tributary of Dajia River. According to the information published by the Water Resources Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, due to its design and scale characteristics, the small hydraulic power generation uses the natural flow of rivers to generate electricity. The stream water is reused, and a drop of water can be reused many times. Therefore, small hydraulic power generation is the renewable energy of all green energy generation, which has the least impact on the environment and has the most environmental protection and circulation.
Xinjian Technology has set an ESG target and officially joined RE100 in 2023, planning to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and promised to use 100% of the global regenerative power.
